I’M THE MINT’S FIRST LOTTERY WINNER!!!

So, I’m about to join the ranks of the unemployed – In four weeks I shall be   ‘resting’ (a theatrical euphemism for unemployment) until the end of September – and then from December…

…nada, nothing, zilch…

I should introduce myself…I’m Henry aka ‘soulMerlin’.  I’ve worked in the Theatre as a choreographer, performer and director since I was sixteen – but now I’m 68 years old…and final retirement is also on the cards soon…..

Upcoming Financial Gloom?…..Well I am a bit tense about it, but then again, after a lifetime of working in the theatre, I’m used to insecurity…Sort of

(in space, no-one can hear you scream)

With the above in mind…not wishing to give up my car (and my red wine, restaurants, dvd’s, holidays, etc etc etc) I started to dabble in money-making opportunities in July 2010 and now I’m earning around $300 a week on average.

Over the last (nearly) two years, I’ve become quite savvy to the ‘online earning’ scene (jungle) and I feel pretty confident in sorting out the scams from the genuine earning opportunities…and they’re quite a few good ones of the latter variety out there.

Around a week ago, I happened upon a site which really impressed me. It’s still in pre-launch (the best time to join) and has a smooth script and operation – not to mention great graphics…I’m really happy with the operation, although Chris and the Team say it will be even better come launch day.

I’ve joined and invested $500  in  Mint.bz and I feel confident they’re the ‘real deal’

One of the things they also introduced is a weekly Lottery, in which the lucky member of the ‘dragonfly’ status would receive a free dragonfly token (around $25)

And guess what…today I won it! Yes…I’m their very First lottery winner!!!

GIVING

When my mother was around twelve years old, she got a prize from her Sunday School…a book called “Getting and Giving”.

I’ve carried it around for most of my life and I’ve never read it…until now.

I don’t need to explain it…because the whole message is in the title:

To ‘Get’ you have to ‘Give’…otherwise you drain the whole system dry….

(like so much of what is happening now)

Robin Easton of “Naked in Eden” introduced me to an organisation called Kiva.

Now, Kiva is not a charity, but a micro-financing organisation that helps people in mainly third world, but also western countries, to set-up or maintain and advance their businesses. I’m not knocking charities, but it is very empowering to people to get a ‘leg-up’ to promote their own business activities, rather than relying on ‘charity’ to get by.

So far I’ve financed 15 ‘entrepreneurs’ with $25 each, to raise loans for crops, new roofs, disco businesses, cattle, transport, clothes…

…and they pay back their micro-loans – and best of all…I “compound” and finance more to succeed and…

…they have hope for their dreams.
